How to get to the Hyatt hotel, Montreal

If you fly in to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport
Taxi: There is a taxi stand right outside the arrive area of the airport. Taxis from airport to downtown has a flat rate of $38 plus tip. Taxi drivers should know the location of the Hyatt hotel in downtown Montreal.

Bus 787: You can ask the information desk for the location of the bus stop at the airport. This bus goes from airport to downtown and stops at different locations in downtown. Stop close to the Hyatt hotel is at the corner of Jeanne Mance and Rene Levesque. It runs 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, at intervals of 10-20 minutes. It costs $8.00 per ride. The bus only accepts cash in coins (rather than paper money).
 
If you drive from the US
  • Highway 87 north. This will change name to highway 15 once you pass the border
  • When you get close to the city, take Champlain bridge (in French is Pont Champlain).
  • When you get off the Champlain bridge, take exit Autoroute Bonaventure.
  • When you get into the city, Autoroute Bonaventure changes to University street.
  • The road goes a bit uphill, stay on right hand side. Turn right onto Rene Levesque street.
  • After a few blocks, you see Jeanne Mance street, turn left on to Jean Mance street.
  • Hyatt hotel is located at 1255 Jeanne Mance.

    If you drive from Ontario
    If you take highway 40 East
  • When you get to Montreal, take highway 15 south.
  • After about 2 miles, stay on left hand lane. Take Ville Marie Expressway.
  • After about 1 mile on Ville Marie Expressway, you will enter a tunnel.
  • After entering into the tunnel, stay on the right hand lane.
  • Take exit to St. Laurent Ave.
  • On St. Laurent, you will go past China town.
  • Go up to Rene Levesque avenue, turn left on Rene Levesque.
  • Stay on the right hand land on Rene Levesque, the next street is Jeanne Mance.
  • Turn right on Jeanne Mance.
  • Hyatt hotel is at 1255 Jeanne Mance.

  • If you take highway 20 East
  • When you get close to Montreal, steer toward Ville Marie expressway.
  • After about 1 mile on Ville Marie Expressway, you will enter a tunnel.
  • After entering into the tunnel, stay on the right hand lane.
  • Take exit to St. Laurent ave.
  • On St. Laurent, you will go past China town.
  • Go up to Rene Levesque avenue, turn left on Rene Levesque.
  • Stay on the right hand land on Rene Levesque, the next street is Jeanne Mance.
  • Turn right on Jeanne Mance.
  • Hyatt hotel is at 1255 Jeanne Mance.

    If you go from your hotel in Montreal
    Walking: The easy way to get to the Hyatt hotel (if you are not staying at the Hyatt hotel) is by walking (if it does not rain). The map below shows the location of the Hyatt in relation to the other hotels.

    Metro (Subway Station): Place Des Arts. Exit station onto Jeanne-Mance, walk south (left toward St. Catherine Street). The Hotel is located on the corner of St. Catherine Street and Jeanne-Mance Street. Download Metro Map.

    Taxi: You can always take a taxi in Montreal by standing on a street and wave at a taxi as it goes by. Taxis are recognized by the lighted symbol on top of the taxi. It is usually not worth taking a taxi from your hotel (if you are not staying at the Hyatt) since it is within walking distance. Metro (subway): Montreal is served by an efficient metro system consisting of four lines (green, orange, blue and yellow). Hyatt hotel is located close to metro station Place des Arts. When you get off metro station Place des Arts, walk toward the direction Complexe des Jardins. Hyatt hotel is located on the side of Complexe des Jardins. Complexe des Jardins is a complex of stores and fast food restaurants. When you get to Complexe des Jardins, if you look up against the walls, you will see the sign of Hyatt hotel. Walk towards the fast food restaurants. Against the wall, there is an elevator where signs of the Hyatt hotel are shown. There is also an escalator that can bring you to hotel.
