Metro:
Metro passes are $3.00 per ticket. One day (24 hours) pass costs $8.00. You can go anywhere within the metro system (not dependent on the distance) with a single ticket.   Metro Map
 
Weather:
By the end of September (to be around 20 celsius degree). Normally it does not rain but due to the a few storms coming from the south, it has been raining quite a bit for the past few days. So it is recommended to bring an umbrella in case it
rains.
 
Restaurants and shopping:
Montreal has an abundance of restaurants and shops. You can find foods from many countries in the world in Montreal. Right below the Hyatt hotel is Complex des Jardins where there are many shops and restaurants. There are also many restaurants and shops St. Catherine Street (exit the hotel on Jeanne Mance, walk right to St. Catherine, turn left). There is also an underground shopping complex at McGill metro station.
 
Places to see :
  • Olympic station. Site of the 1976 Olympics. Metro Station PIE IX (green line)
  • Botanical garden. Right next to the Olympic stadium. Metro Station PiE IX (green line)
  • Oratoire St. Joseph. This is a sacred church on the mountain. Brother Andre, founder of the Oratoire, was beatified to be a Saint in 2010. Metro Cote des Neiges (blue line) and walk three blocks. Either that or go to metro Guy-Concordia, take the 155 bus, and get off at Queen Mary.
  • Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Next to Concordia University. Metro Guy-Concordia (green line).

    Languages :
    Most people in Montreal speak both French and English. When somebody speaks to you in French, you can respond in English and they will switch to English in speaking to you. Menus are in French and English.
