The first joint American- Canadian International Conference on Composites

Call for Papers and financial support for students

The 24th Annual Technical Conference of the American Society for Composites (ASC), will be held September 15-17, 2009 at the University of Delaware John M. Clayton Hall in Newark, Delaware, USA. This conference will focus on the latest advancements in composites science and technology from academia, industry and government laboratories.

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit abstracts of 200-300 words for consideration by
April 1, 2009 . The abstract should cover the proposed content and also include the name of the institution, the presenter and the relevant theme. Abstracts can be submitted via the website.

  • Authors will be notified of acceptance in April 2009. A condition of acceptance will be that at least one author from each paper will attend the conference and present the work.

    CACSMA will provide financial support in the amount of $500 CDN (each) for up to 10 students who attend and present papers at the Conference. Student applicants need to be a graduate or undergraduate currently registered at a Canadian university and be an author on a paper which they will personally present at the conference. Each applicant will have to complete an application form after March 23rd. Email Dr. Andrew Johnston for application form.
